About This Competition
FOTODOKS, the contemporary documentary photography festival in Munich, Germany, is accepting entries for its 2027 exhibition. Deadline: 20 November 2026. Entry is free. Professional photographers and lens-based artists worldwide may submit individually or as a duo or collective. The theme concerns care and its political, emotional and interpersonal dimensions. Submit an existing photographic project, not a speculative new one; check the Picter submission instructions for required images, artist statement and language. Selected artists receive an exhibition artist fee, production support, travel and accommodation assistance subject to festival limits, and presentation in the festival catalogue. This is an exhibition opportunity rather than a conventional first-place cash competition.
