About This Competition
Portrait of Britain Vol. 9 is organized by 1854 Media and British Journal of Photography, celebrating portraits of people in contemporary Britain. The deadline is 5 November 2026 at 23:59 UK time. Photographers from any country can enter, but the subjects must have been photographed within England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland after 1 January 2025. Professional and amateur photographers of all ages are welcome. Written consent is required for images selected for public display, and parental consent is required for minors. Winners will be shown on digital screens across the UK. Entry is included for qualifying 1854 Access members; non-members must purchase entries, with the price shown at checkout.
