About This Competition
About
The NewImages Festival 2027 XR Competition welcomes immersive storytelling projects, including virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, narrative video games and hybrid performances. Eligible works must be completed in 2026 or 2027; a premiere is not required.
Entry deadline and fees
Applications close 22 December 2026. Early-bird entry through 10 December costs €75, or €45 for Individual Talent. The last-call fee is €100, or €60 for Individual Talent. Check the organizer’s application form for the applicable tier.
Awards
Selected projects can compete for the €6,000 Grand Prize and €3,000 Impact Award and receive two festival accreditations. The festival is held in Paris in April 2027.
