About This Competition
Les Rencontres d’Arles offers a Curatorial Research Fellowship for an original exhibition proposal exploring photography and image-making. Applications close 30 November 2026. The call is free to enter. The award is structured as €5,000 for six months of research, followed by a potential €15,000 exhibition production budget managed by the festival if the proposed project is approved. The research period is expected in 2027, with the recipient announced in February 2027. This is a curatorial fellowship rather than a prize for individual submitted photographs; applicants must develop a compelling research-led exhibition proposal. Verify eligibility, supporting documents, and the application route with Les Rencontres d’Arles at https://www.rencontres-arles.com/ .
