About
The NewImages Festival 2027 Virtual Worlds Competition is open to artistic and narrative worlds, social VR experiences, multiplayer art spaces and interactive installations. Projects may use VRChat, Roblox, Fortnite Creative or independent virtual-world platforms.
Deadline and fees
Submission is free and closes on 22 December 2026. The organizer does not require premiere status.
Prize
Selected projects can compete for the €3,000 Virtual Worlds Award, receive two festival accreditations and be presented at NewImages Festival in Paris.
